I’m thrilled to share an update from our recent mission trip to Casa de Los Angeles on September 7th, which was a resounding success despite the challenging heat.

Our dedicated team showed true perseverance as we tackled the crucial task of preparing the roadside wall for waterproofing. Working in tight spaces and digging out all the loose dirt was no small feat, but everyone pushed through admirably. This vital step paves the way for the next phases of waterproofing and backfilling, ensuring the longevity and safety of our facility.

The day ended on a high note with a wonderful community fiesta at Pastor Aurelio’s church. The atmosphere was filled with joy, laughter, and the heartwarming sights and sounds of children enjoying the piñata. The food was delightful, and it was a perfect way to celebrate our hard work and the strong bonds we are building with the local community.

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to each one of you who participated and supported this mission. Your efforts not only contributed to the physical infrastructure of CDLA but also to the spirit of community and collaboration that defines our mission.

Thank you once again for your commitment and enthusiasm. Let’s keep this momentum going as we continue to make a positive impact together!
